- Boil 500 ml of water.
- Add some slices of fresh ginger root.
- Reduce flame.
- Cook for 10 minutes and strain.
- Add honey and/or lemon juice of your choice.
- Drink hot.
- (Good remedy for sore throat, cold, etc.)

I agree because of the ginger added. Because I am taking fresh ginger mixed with black coffee 3 liters a day since the last one year. It is proven healthy.
sore throat is not a lot of fun its just uncomfortable and difficult to swallow.
usually, i would take the Nim Jiom Cough Syrup (www.geocities.jp/ninjiom_hong_kong/index_e.htm ) which has a thick consistency formulation. it coats the throat and includes herbs that are particularly good for that application.
